Reminders that check the weather first
Some reminders only matter in some weather. With TeleLater, a reminder can check the forecast first and only go out if it is needed: “bring an umbrella tomorrow at 7:30am if it rains”.
Try messages like:
- remind me to bring an umbrella tomorrow at 7:30am if it rains
- every day at 6pm cover the plants if it gets colder than 3 degrees
- remind me to put on sunscreen every weekday at 8am if it gets warmer than 28
What it can check
- Rain: sent if rain is forecast (by default, a chance of at least 50%).
- Snow: sent if snow is forecast.
- Colder or warmer than a temperature you pick, in °C or °F.
How the check works
When the reminder is due, TeleLater looks at the forecast for your city, or any city you name, over the next hours (12 by default) and decides whether to send it. If it is skipped, History says why, for example “No rain expected in London in the next 12 hours”. When it is sent, the reminder says what was forecast.
If the weather service can’t be reached, the reminder is sent anyway, with a note: an extra reminder is better than a missed one.
On the free plan
One weather check per reminder is free. Pro adds up to five checks per reminder, and other kinds: a web page changing, a price crossing a line, or public holidays.
